National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela MA Admission in Development Studies 2018 Notification

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Arts (M.A) in Development Studies Program in the Department of Humanities & Social Science for 2018 sessions.

Total No. of Seats

Total 30 Seats (Gen-15, OBC-08, SC-04, ST-02 and OPPH-01).

If sufficient applicants will not be available, General category applicants may fill up seats under OBC/PH categories.

Eligibility Conditions

B.Tech, B.A, B.Sc, B.Com with 50% marks or 5.5/10 CGPA; among B.A., B.Sc & B.Com, applicants with Honors will be given preference. Applicants appearing qualifying degree final exam may also apply.

There is no relaxation in the academic requirement for any category/caste of applicants because the minimum academic requirement has been set to meet the basic challenges of the academic program.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be made on the basis of career marks as decided by the institute.

Fee Details

Admission Fee including Hostel admission (One-time fee) Rs.1500/-; Tuition Fee Rs.7500/- (Nil for SC/ST Students); Other Fees (Exam, Library etc) Rs.3000/-; Institute Emergency Fund Rs.5000/-; Student Activity Fee Rs.2000/-; Medical Fee Rs.1000/-; Hostel Seat Rent Rs.2000/-; Book Fee Rs.1000/-; Caution Money Rs.5000/- (one time); Mess Advance Rs.18000/-.

Total SC – Rs.46000/-; ST Students Rs.38500/-.

- Applicants are advised to; read the advertisement carefully, read the instructions to fill up the online application form; fill up and submit the online application form accordingly; Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- online from online application portal.

- Applicants are NOT required to send hard copy of the application form or any other documents to NIT Rourkela.
