Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical Univesity Bathinda Ph.D. Admission Notice July 2018 Applications are invited from research-oriented prospective postgraduate candidates for admission to full-time part-time Ph.D. program for various disciplines for admission in the faculties of engineering and technology, science, commerce and business management, and pharmacy for the academic session starting from July 2018. all aspirant candidates shall have to register on the online Ph.D. admission portal. The vacant status is as follows

Engineering and Technology

• Civil Engineering - 5 Seats
• Computer Science and Engineering  - 11 Seats
• Electrical Engineering  - 11 Seats
• Electronics and Communication Engineering  - 5 Seats
• Textile Engineering – 5 Seats

Sciences

• Physics - 3 Seats
• Chemistry - 2 Seats
• Maths - 2 Seats
• Computer Applications - 1 Seat

Commerce and Business Management - 12 Seats

Pharmacy - 36 Seats

Eligibility Conditions

Pharmacy

• MPharm/M.S.Oharm/Pharm-D with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST)

Chemistry

• MSc in Chemistry or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST)

Physics

• M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc./M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST).

Mathematics

• M.Sc (Mathematics) or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST).

Computer Application

For the enrollment in Ph.D. in Computer Applications, the eligibility is minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST) in any of the following

• MCA OR
• M.Sc. (CS) and M.Phil (CS) OR
• M.Sc. (IT) and M.Phil (CS) OR
• M.Sc. (IT) and M.Phil (IT) OR
• M.Sc. (CS) and M.Phil (IT) OR
• M.Tech/ ME (CSE) OR
• M.Tech / ME (IT)

Engineering & Technology

• The candidates with M.Tech. /M.E. in Mech./ Production/Industrial/Design/CAD/CAM or in equivalent relevant field of specialization of mechanical engineering with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST)

Electronics and Communication Engg. (ECE)

• M.Tech/M.E in ECE/EE/EEE/E&I/CSE/IT or equivalent in allied areas with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST).
