Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the admission to the Undergraduate Courses for 2018-19 sessions.

Important Dates
- Last Date for Issue of Application Forms: 05th Jun, 2018 (Tuesday)
- Last date for submission of application forms 07th Jun, 2018 (Thursday)
- Publication of shortlisted applicants in the website (Tentative): 09th Jun, 2018 (Saturday)
- The tentative date for Interview (UG Programs): 14th Jun, 2018 (Thursday)
- Last Date for payment of fees (UG Programs): 25th Jun, 2018 (Monday)
- Commencement of classes for all Programs: 12th Jul, 2018 (Thursday)
Eligibility Conditions
Nationality
- The applicant for admission should be Resident Indian National and should have studied in regular full time and formal education in schools located in India in the preceding two years.
Age Limit
- Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 01st July 1998 are eligible to apply.
- The date of birth as recorded in the High School/SSC/X Certificate will be considered authentic.
- Applicants should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counseling, failing which they will be disqualified.
Education Eligibility
- Applicants who have secured an overall aggregate of 70% (except for B.Sc. Catering& Hotel Management) and above in their+2 examinations under regular mode are eligible to apply.
- Applicants from open schooling/Correspondence mode are not eligible.
The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in+2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 60% (except B.Sc. Catering & Hotel Management) for the following categories:
- Applicants belonging to SC/ST
- Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
Education Eligibility
B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA
- A pass in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 70% overall aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination.
B.Sc. Multimedia and Animation
- A pass in any stream in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or a pass in Diploma (10+3) in any stream with a minimum of 70% overall aggregate.
B.Sc. Catering and Hotel Management
- A pass in any stream in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or A pass in Diploma (10+3).
B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce) /BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)
- A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent exam, with the minimum of 70% overall aggregate; students must have studied Commerce / Accountancy / Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Selection Procedure
- Applicants will be called for counseling in the order of merit based on the aggregate of total marks secured in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination.
Application Form
- The VIT Main Brochure &Information Brochure along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope can be obtained in person from VIT at Vellore by handing over a DD drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology”, payable at Vellore.
- Applicants can also obtain the set of Brochure with the Application Form and printed self- addressed envelope through Post from VIT by sending a Demand Draft in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology”, payable at Vellore accompanied by a covering letter addressed to “Office Of Admissions”,VIT, Vellore-632 014, requesting for the application form of the particular program, indicating your complete postal address.
- On receipt of the DD, the application form with the enclosures will be sent by post. Applicants are advised to write their name and address and mobile number on the reverse of the DD.
- B.Sc.CS/BCom/BCA/BBA/B.Sc. Multimedia & Animation/B.Sc. Catering & Hotel Management) Rs.400/- (Including GST).
Admission Process
- Applicant should produce the documents (Attached with application form) in original for verification, alongwith one-Set of photocopies and Demand Draft For Rs.12000/- (including GST) drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology”, payable at Vellore while reporting for the counseling.
- The selected applicants will have to submit DD for Rs.12000/- (including GST) drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology”, payable at Vellore. This includes counseling processing fee Rs.6000/- (+ 18% GST) and it is Non-Refundable, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the applicant joins the Institute.
