Coimbatore Marine College invites applications for admission into B.Tech., B.Sc., B.B.A., GME, Programmes 2018

  • B.Tech Marine Engineering - 4 Years
  • B.Tech Marine Engineering (Lateral Entry) - 3 Years
  • B.Sc. Nautical Science - 3 Years
  • Graduate Marine Engineering - GME - 1 Years
  • Marine Electro Technical Officer  - 4 Months
  • BBA Logistics and Shipping - 3 Years

Eligibility Conditions

B.Sc. Nautical Science

  • Passed+2 with an average mark of 60% in PCM and 50% marks in English either in class 10th or +2 (Age limit: Below 25 years)

B.Tech Marine Engineering

  • Passed+2 with an average mark of 60% in PCM and 50% marks in English either in class 10th or +2. The Candidate should appear for IMU Common Entrance Test. The application form for IMU CET is available on www.imu.edu.in. For admission, the student must pass the IMU-CET test.

B.Tech Marine Engineering (Lateral Entry)

  • Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering from any institute approved by AICTE with at least 60% marks overall and should have completed the Diploma within the stipulated period of 3 years. The candidate should have secured  50% marks in English subject in class 10th / 12th.

Graduate Marine Engineering – GME

  • Graduation in BE or BTech Mechanical Engineering / Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 50% in the final year and with minimum 50% marks in the English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
  • The candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering after attending a course of 4 years duration from an UGC recognized university and or approved by AICTE, with a minimum marks of 50% in the final year, and a minimum 50% marks in English language at the 10th or 12th standard or in degree examination. These candidates will not get full exemption from MEO Class IV and MEO Class II Certificate of Competency Exam but require to appear and pass the "Heat Engines" written paper of MEO Class IV Part 'A' CoC Exam and "Thermodynamics & Heat Transmission" written paper of MEO Class II Part 'A' CoC Exam.

Marine Electro Technical Officer

Category 1:

  • Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in the English Language at 10th or 12th standard exam.

&

  • Passed three year’s Diploma with 60% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.

or

Category 2:

  • Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in the English Language at 10th or 12th standard exam.

&

  • Four year’s Degree, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.

or

Category 3:

  • Passed 10th standard with 50% marks in English.

&

  • Passed three year’s Diploma or equivalent.

&

  • Four year’s Degree, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent. The diploma/degree courses must have been recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE.

B.B.A

  • Pass in 10+2

Note: For B.Tech. Marine candidate should clear IMU CET
