Bachelor of Visual Arts (Cinematography)
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Digital Intermediate)
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Audiography)
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Direction and Screenplay Writing)
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Film Editing)
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Animation and Visual Effects)

Eligibility Conditions

Bachelor of Visual Arts (Cinematography)
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Digital Intermediate)

Minimum Qualification is a pass in Higher Secondary 10+2 examination with physics and chemistry / vocational courses with photography as a special subject / any equivalent qualification with other specification stated above / diploma in electronics engineering/diploma in electronics and communication engineering

Bachelor of Visual Arts (Audiography)

Minimum Qualification is a pass in Higher Secondary 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry / Vocational courses with Radio and TV or domestic electronic equipment as a special subject / any equivalent qualification with other specification stated above / diploma in electronics and electronics engineering/diploma in electronics and communication engineering.

Bachelor of Visual Arts (Direction and Screenplay Writing)
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Animation and Visual Effects)

Minimum Qualification is a pass in Higher Secondary 10+2 examination in any group.

How to Apply?

Applications forms with prospectus can be obtained in person from the principal, MGR Government film and television Institute Tharamani, Chennai – 600113 by submitting a demand draft for Rs. 200/- for other candidates and for Rs. 60/- for SC/ST (belonging to Tamil Nadu only-by producing Xerox copy of community certificate) drown in favour of the principal, MGR Govt. Film and Television Institute, Chennai – 600113 along with a self-addressed envelope (Size 30+25 cm) stamped to the value of Rs 30/- while candidates other than Chennai must be stamped to the value of Rs.47/- and the candidates of other State must be stamped to the value of Rs. 71/-
