Admission Notification 2018 for B.Tech. Programme at BIT Deoghar, BIT Jaipur and BIT Patna Campuses

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the B.Tech. programme at BIT Deoghar, BIT Jaipur and BIT Patna Campuses to fill the seats through Institutional Counselling for the session 2018-19.

Eligibility Conditions

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1993 are eligible for admission. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates who were born on or after 1 October 1988 are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board (Class X, High School) certificate only will be taken as authentic.
Candidate must have passed in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII), or its equivalent, referred to as the qualifying examination.
Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech. programme shall be as under:

Required Criteria based on Class 12th / Equivalent Qualifying Examination

1. Language, 2-Physics, 3-Mathematics, 4-Any one of (Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject), 5- Any other Subject (Physics and Mathematics areas compulsory and one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.)

With at least 45% marks and 40% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates in the above subjects taken together.

The candidate must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2018 and should have secured a valid AIR (CRL Rank) in JEE (Main) 2018.
BC-I / BC-II of Jharkhand State for admission at BIT Deoghar Campus: The candidates must have passed their qualifying exam from the State of Jharkhand and should be BC-I / BC-II of Jharkhand State only. A certificate should have been issued on or after 1 st April 2017.
BC-I / BC-II of Bihar State for admission at BIT Patna Campus: The candidates must have passed their qualifying exam from the State of Bihar and should be BC-I /BC-II/ BC Girls of Bihar State only. A certificate should have been issued on or after 1st April 2017.

How to Apply?

To start the online application, click on the link, create ‘username’ and ‘password’ by clicking on “New users register here” when prompted. Do not share the username and password with anybody else.
To apply for the B.Tech. programme, eligible candidates must complete and submit the application form online only. (http://115.114.127.54:8080/psc/bitpublic/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/s/WEBLIB_B_LOGIN.EMPLID.FieldFormula.IScript_B_APP_LOGIN). Pay application fee of Rs.1,000/- (General / OBC candidates) or Rs.750/- (SC/ST candidates) through State Bank Collect - net banking or credit card of any nationalized bank in favor of “Birla Institute of Technology” within the given time period. [Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances].
Candidates can use the Online Application Form to apply for the B.Tech. programme 2018 at one Campus only either at BIT Deoghar or BIT Jaipur or BIT Patna Campus in order of preference of branches available from the prompt.
Please use the separate application form, in case applying for more than one Campus and pay the additional application fee, as applicable.
The choices of the branch must be filled-in carefully in prudential order since choices, once filled-in, cannot be modified after submission of application form throughout the counselling process.
Candidates are advised to refer our Institute website for the status of their application and other details by using their ‘username’ and ‘password’, as created at the time of filling the online application form.
