Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University Ahmedabad invites applications for admission to M.Pharm Programme academic session – 2018-19. in following specializations:
- Pharmaceutics
- Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- Regulatory Affairs
- Pharmacology
- Pharmaceutical Analysis
Stipend would be given to All Admitted Students
- GPAT Qualified Student: Rs. 12,400/- per Month
- Non-GPAT Student : Rs. 5,000/- per Month
Note: - One seat is reserved in each branch for students who have passed their B.Pharm. from Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
Eligibility Conditions
- The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (B.Pharm.) from a recognized university with minimum aggregate marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Index (CGPI) or any other qualifying degree examination considered as equivalent of B.Pharm. degree by Nirma University, Ahmedabad. (as per AICTE & PCI norms)
- Candidates who are appearing for the final semester of qualifying examination (B.Pharm.) can also apply. In such case, the candidate is required to submit the result as soon as the same is available either by email or by fax (scanned image).
- If applicant has passed qualifying examination (B.Pharm.) from a University other than Nirma University, then he/she will be required to obtain an eligibility certificate from Nirma University. The arrangement for obtaining the same will be made on the spot at the time of admission on payment of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only).
Selection Procedure
- Appearing for counselling does not guarantee admission.
- The applicants will be given admission after checking testimonials and other related documents.
- The eligible applicants with valid GPAT score will be given preference for admission in all the branches, and the admission will be given based on the merit of GPAT score.
- The NON-GPAT candidates will be admitted based on the merit of the written test conducted by the Nirma University. The procedure will be initiated only if the seats are vacant after considering the qualified GPAT candidates.
- For NON- GPAT candidates, the entrance test will comprise of multiple choice questions. There will not be any negative marking. The syllabus for the test will be related to Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Including Pharmaceutical Analysis), Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy of B.Pharm. level.
- If equal rank in case of GPAT candidates, and equal score in case NON-GPAT candidates occurs; then the merit of qualifying examination will be considered
- The Original documents should be produced at the time of admission.
- In case of any dispute / doubt in the interpretation of any clause, the decision of the admission committee shall be final.
How to Apply?
Guidelines to fill up Online Application Form
- The Application for M.Pharm. Admission must be submitted Online through the “Online Admission Application Portal” of Nirma University. Downloadable form is Not available.
Online Application Portal is open till Midnight of 28th June, 2018.
- This application form consist of six sections, and then the final payment option.
- After entering the data into each section click, the “SAVE & NEXT” button provided at the bottom right side of each section and you will move to the next section.
- Some of the fields in the Application Form are mandatory and marked with a * mark. They must be completed accurately for your application to be considered valid.
- You may not complete the Online Form in one sitting. You can save the entries made in your form and complete it in more than one sitting. Whenever you make entry/changes in the form do not forget to click the “SAVE” button.
- The fields like First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth and Email are mandatory; and not editable in future. If you make any mistakes in these fields, you need to contact the help desk to edit the same.
The application processing fee is Rs. 1,250/- (Rupees Twelve Hundred Fifty Only) for All Category.
- The candidates once complete entries in all the sections of the form, they should proceed to “Payment Details” for making the payment. You will be taken through the steps to make payment with various options, and required to select the Online Payment option (Credit/Debit card or Net Banking) or Offline Payment option (Cheque or Demand Draft). The applicant selecting the payment option other than online payment mode has to submit Demand Draft or Cheque personally at institute.
- The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of "INSTITUTE OF PHARMACY, NIRMA UNIVERSITY" payable at Ahmedabad (Applicant should write his/her complete name & Application Number on the backside of the Cheque or Demand Draft). The institute will accept payment on all working days between 09:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. (Institute shall be closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays).
- If at any stage of the admission process, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her is incorrect, his/her application for the Programme admission will stand cancelled. The admission application processing fee is non-refundable in any case.
- Candidates should provide their contact details such as E-mail, Mobile Number, Address, etc. as mandatory filed in the application that should be valid till July 2018.

- B.Pharm Marksheets of all Sem / Years (upto the Last Declared Result) in Single combined PDF File.
- Authenticated document showing conversion from CPI/CGPA to percentage (wherever applicable).
- Valid GPAT Score Card (if applying as GPAT Qualified Student Category)
- Candidate’s Photograph (JPG image size of should less than 200 kb) – Mandatory
- Candidate’s Signature (JPG image size of should less than 200 kb) – Optional
