Delhi University Admission 2018: Fourth Cut-Off released

The fourth cut-off list of Delhi University has been released for admission to various UG courses.  Aspiring candidates can visit the official website i.e du.ac.in to check the availability of seats.

Today is the last day to take admission on the basis of the fourth cut-off list between 9 am and 1 pm along with their original documents.

Availability of Seat at various colleges are as follows:

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC):

  • BA Economics (H): Candidates from OBC category can still take admission with cut off 96%.
  • B.Com (H): Seats in B.Com (H) are available for SC category with 90.5%cut-off.

Kirori Mal College:

  • Admission is still open for BA programme for which the varsity has asked 93.75% per cent cut-off and above but below 94.5% marks in aggregate.

Science Stream:

Students from the science stream can still apply to colleges in the North Campus in courses such as:

  • B.Sc (Hons) Botany
  • B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science and
  • B.Sc (Hons) Physics

A drop of 0.25 to 0.5%has been recorded in cut-offs in science courses.

Arts Stream:

Humanities students can apply for:

  • BA (Hons) in Sociology, English and Economics

There has been a drop of 0.25-2% in cut-offs for humanities courses across colleges.

College-wise cut-off:

In the fourth-cut-off list, Hindu College has demanded 96% for BA (Hons) English.

  • SC:92%
  • ST:90%

Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and other courses:

  • BSc (Hons) Botany: PwD (84%)
  • BSc (Hons) Chemistry: OBC (95%)
  • BSc (Hons) Mathematics: PwD (88%)
  • BSc (Hons) Physics: PwD (84%)
  • BSc (Hons) Zoology: SC (93.66%)

BSc Physical Science with Chemistry:

  • OBC (93.33%)
  • ST (76%)
  • PwD (73%)

BSc Physical Science with Electronics:

  • OBC (92.66%)
  • PwD (68%)

Gargi College:

  • Admission for BA is still open for General category with 91%.

Admission closed:

  • Shri Ram College of Commerce has now closed admissions to its UG courses while Hindu has closed for history, political science, sociology and philosophy for the general category.
  • Ramjas has closed admissions to its B.Com Honours and Programme courses for the unreserved category.

Fifth Cut-Off list:

  • The varsity is expected to release the fifth cut-off list on July 11 or July 12.

DU Admissions 2018

  • The varsity threw open its admission portal for aspirants of various undergraduate courses on May 15. The registration for these courses ended on June 7.
  • The first cut-off list was announced on June 19. The total number of male applicants are 1, 44,248, women 1, 34,297 and other applicants 29.
