Institute of Physics Bhubaneswar invites applications for admission into PhD programme 2019

The Institute invites application for its regular Doctoral Programme starting from Aug 2019.

Eligibility Conditions

• M.Sc. in Physics with a minimum of 55% marks (in aggregate) or equivalent CGPA cumulatively till the last year/ semester. (Candidates appearing for M.Sc. in 2019, and who satisfy any of the criteria (2) as mentioned below can apply. Their admission will be treated as provisional.)
• A valid GATE score with rank up to 200 (who appeared in 2019),

or

• CSIR NET (JRF) within the last year (Examinations held in June 2018 and Dec 2018),

(Due to administrative constraints, we won't be able to consider DST-Inspire fellowship for Ph.D. admissions 2019. Although, those who have already applied via DST-Inspire, are welcome to apply again via their GATE/NET/JEST scorecards.)

• Candidates having a rank up to 302 (Percentile: 95.87) in JEST-2019 (Ph.D. only). They will have to fill up a form.

(Candidates are required to upload the supporting documents regarding GATE/ NET and produce the same in original at the time of selection.) If a candidate has a rank beyond 302 (Percentile: 95.87) in JEST-2019 but satisfies the criteria mentioned above, she/he is encouraged to apply.
