IIM Amritsar invites application for admission to the PhD program for 2020

Eligibility Conditions

• All applicants must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in all their examinations starting with the secondary level. The applicants for the program must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a deemed University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.
• A Master’s Degree or it's equivalent in any discipline with minimum 55% aggregate marks; OR

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 60% marks or equivalent grade point average; OR

• Any professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA and CS with a minimum 55% aggregate marks.

Admission Process

• The admissions process consists of shortlisting of candidates based on their educational qualifications, test scores, and PhD application submitted to the Institute. Candidates are invited for an interview to gauge their research aptitude. Admission to the program is based on a comprehensive review of a student’s capacity to succeed in the PhD Program.
