Banaras Hindu University invites applications for Admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm courses 2012
Eligibility Conditions
- Passed Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together.
- For MBBS/BDS/BAMS – a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% for General-PC candidates and 40% marks for OBC#/SC/ST and respective PC candidates
- For B.Pharm. – a minimum of 60% marks for General / OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.
How to Apply
- By Cash: Rs. 1500/- for GEN/OBC and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST candidates from Bank of Baroda.
- By Post: From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1600/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 1100 for SC/ST candidates of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favor of “The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU” payable at Varanasi.
- Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate’s name and address on the back of DD).
- Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm ´6 cm size must also accompany it. The requisition for PMT Application Form should be superscribed “Request for Application Form for PMT-2012, BHU”.
- Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is 27.02.2012.Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted.
Selection Procedure
- All India competitive written tests for admission to MBBS course in Two stages: PMT-2012 ScreeningG and PMT-2012 Main, and for BDS, BAMS* and B. Pharm. courses in One stage: PMT-2012 Screening. PMT-2012 Screening shall be held on Wednesday, 16th May 2012.
- For BDS/BAMS*/B.Pharm. Courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2012 Screening only.
Important Dates
- Last date for receipt of application form duly completed by post is 15th March, 2012.
- Entrance exam will be held on 16th May, 2012 & 17th June, 2012.
