Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi Invites Applications for Admission to Various Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates by Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi for written admission test 2012, popularly known as WAT. WAT is an entrance test conducted by AWES for admission into various programs offered at the respective Army institutes.

Programs Offered:

• One-year full-time B Ed (Bachelor of Education) -Army Institute of Education (AIE), New Delhi, Army Centre of Education (ACE), Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh
• Five-year BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) & three-year MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) - Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS), Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh
• Four-year B Sc (Bachelor of Science) Nursing -Army College of Nursing (ACN), Jalandhar, Army Institute of Nursing (AIN), Guwahati
• Four-year BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) - Army Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (AIHM & CT), Bangalore
• Four-year B Tech (Bachelor of Technology) in Mechanical, Electronics & Tele Communication, Computer Science, and Information Technology - Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune
• One-year B Sc (Bachelor of Science) in Fashion and Apparel Design & two-year PG Diploma Autonomous Course (Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising & Logistics Management) - Army Institute of Fashion & Design (AIFD), Bangalore

How to Apply

• Candidates may obtain the application form and prospectus directly from the institutes by sending a request along with a Demand Draft of requisite amount drawn in favor of the concerned institute.
• One can download the application form from the official website of the institute. In addition, the application material can also be obtained from HQ AWES and HQs Command (AWES Cell) on payment of the amount through DD.

Selection Procedure

Admission at different institutes will be made on the basis of WAT merit, scheduled to be held on the below mentioned date.

• Combined WAT for B Ed:  29^th April, 2012
• PG WAT for MDS:  18^th March, 2012
• Combined WAT for BDS / B Sc Nursing:  22^nd April, 2012
• WAT for BHM:  15^th April, 2012
• WAT for B Sc (Fashion and Apparel Design): 21^st April, 2012
• CAT for PG Diploma Autonomous Course:  8^th June, 2012
