BHU Admissions 2021: Apply for Performing Arts Diploma Programmes

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has invited applications for admission to the junior part-time diploma programmes in performing arts. The application process for diplomas in music, instruments and dance is being carried out offline and students need to collect the application forms from the university.

Part-time diploma programmes in Performing Arts

BHU offers part-time diploma programmes by the Faculty of Performing Arts in the streams of -

• Kathak Dance,
• Bharatnatyam Dance,
• Hindustani Vocal,
• Karnatic Vocal,
• Flute,
• Sitar,
• Violin,
• Tabla, and
• Mridangam

The duration of these part-time programmes is three years.

Eligibility Conditions

• To apply for these BHU diploma programmes, students need to have cleared the Class 10 board examination, or any other equivalent examination, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• For SC, ST candidates, the eligibility is only obtaining the passing score in the Class 12 board exam.

Application Process

• The application forms need to be collected from the university and submitted to the BHU office by October 26.
• Students need to strictly follow all Covid-19 guidelines during the application process such as wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing.

Selection Process

Students will be selected on the basis of their performance in an online aptitude test.
