Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow Invites Applications for Admission to MD Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates by Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow for Doctor of Medicine (MD) programs 2012.
Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates who have passed MBBS course from the State Medical Colleges of Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Meerut, CSM Medical University, Lucknow and recognized private Medical College of U.P. are eligible to appear in the entrance examination.
- Candidates who have passed MBBS from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, and are bonafide residents of U.P. and selected through CPMT-2000 conducted by undivided Uttar Pradesh are also eligible.
- Candidates must have completed one-year rotational internship as on 01.05.2012.
How to Apply
- The information brochure and application forms for MD can be downloaded from the institute’s website www.sgpgi.ac.in. The candidates will have to fill up the Application form online.
- After online submission a print out of filled in application form must be taken and sent to Executive Registrar SGPGIMS Lucknow 226014 along with all relevant documents in support of age, qualification, and proof of MBBS degree recognition by Medical Council of India/State Medical Council, reservation etc and duly signed by the candidate.
- A bank draft of Rs. 1,000/- towards application fee should also be attached with the application form. The bank draft should be drawn in favor of Director, SGPGIMS, Lucknow, academic account.
Selection Procedure
Admission will be done through a competitive examination to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 and further counseling held in the institute.
