Himalayan Institute of Hospital Trust (HIHT) University, Dehradun Invites Application for Admission to MBBS Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program offered by Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences for 2012-2013.

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 i.e. ISC/Intermediate examination or it's equivalent, after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of such study, comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English from a recognized board/ university and the candidate must have passed in all the subjects.
• The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 60% (for SC/ST/OBC candidates 50%) marks in aggregate taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and at least 50% (for SC/ST/OBC candidates 45%) marks separately in each of the above subjects in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination and whose results are not available are also eligible to appear in the entrance examination. However, they must submit the marks sheet on or before the date specified in the information brochure.

Selection Procedure

Every year in the month of May, the university conducts the all India level Pre Medical Entrance Examination (PMEE). A merit list is prepared based on this examination. The candidates are called for counseling in the month of June/July.

• Last date of sale of application forms: Saturday,  31^st March, 2012
• Last date of submitting application form: Friday,  6^th April, 2012
• PMEE 2012 exam date:  Friday  1^st June, 2012 (10.00 am to 12.30 pm)
