Doon University Invites Applications for Admission into Post Graduate Programe 2012-13.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for following post graduate programe for 2012-13.

Eligibility Conditions

For M.A Communication

Graduate in any subject from a recognized University with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST and other categories).
School of Environment and Natural Resources

For M.Sc. Natural Resource Management

Graduation in biological or applied sciences from a recognized University with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST)

For M.Sc. Environmental Studies

Graduation in basic or applied sciences from a recognized University with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST)

For Ph.D Programme

Master's degree from a recognized University with minimum of 60% of marks or equivalent OGPA in the relevant field and those who have qualified the NET/JRF examination conducted by CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT.

For Integrated Five Years M.A in Chinese, Spanish, German Languages (20 Seats in each Language)

10+2 in any subject from a recognized Education Board with 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST). Lateral exit after three years may be permissible .in that case Bechlor degree will be awarded.

For MBA

Graduation in any subject from a recognized University with atleast 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST category).
"Admission will be based on valid CAT/MAT scores followed by Group discussion & Interview at the discretion of the University."

For M.A Economics

Graduation with atleast 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST) from a recognized University with Economics as one of the subjects or Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60 per cent marks (55 per cent for SC/ST).

How to Apply

The candidates seeking admission to any course offered by the University may obtain the Prospectus, giving Admission Guidelines and courses offered by different Schools of the University along with the prescribed Application Form on cash payment of Rs. 600/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates) or by sending a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 650/- (Rs. 350/- for SC/ST candidate)
Payment of Application Form Fee by Cheque/ Money Orders shall not be accepted.
Once the prospectus is sold, the application fees shall not be refundable and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
The Application Form is given in Annexure X. The Candidates should read the instructions carefully before filling up the Form.
The application form should be sent to “Coordinator of Admission, Doon University, P.O. Ajabpur, Kedarpur, Dehradun” to reach on or before 15 May 2010 and with late fees of Rs 100/- upto 21^st May, 2010.

Requirements for Admission

The students shall be required to bring the Call Letter received from the University, Admit Card for the Entrance Test, and attested copies along with the originals of the following documents at the time of Admission. These documents are not required at the time of submitting the Application Form.
Proof of age based on the certificate of High School/Secondary School.
Transfer Certificate/Migration Certificate.
Two Point Character and Conduct
Certificate from the institution last attended (FORM 1- Annexure I).
Proof of passing the qualifying examination.
Two passport size photographs for the identity card together with marksheet in accordance with the eligibility requirements for admission.
Proof of entitlement for a particular reservation category (FORM 2–6 Annexure VI).
Domicile Certificate/Mool Niwas Praman Patra (FORM 7 – Annexure VII).
Permanent Address Certificate.
Certificate from a Government Hospital/Civil Surgeon/ Government Doctor about the blood groups/ Medical Fitness Certificate (FORM 8 - Annexure VIII).
