Anna University Centre for Research Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D/M.S Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) and M.S (by research) programs for 2012 - 13. 

Eligibility Conditions

For Ph.D

• Master's degree of this university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this university.
  
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology of the university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study with a minimum of 15 years of R and D experience in national research laboratories/public sector undertakings and with minimum of three publications in referred impact factor journals or two international patents in the last five years. 

For M.S

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/M.Sc. in Science and Humanities of this university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this university.
  
  
• A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale for SC/ST candidates). For M.A (English) degree holders including SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale. 

How to Apply

• Duly filled-in application should accompany with registration fee of Rs.600 for general category and Rs.300 for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director (Research), Anna University” payable at Chennai drawn on or after  2^nd Apr, 2012 and obtained from any nationalized bank. 

Selection Procedure

• Selection to the research program will be based on the performance in the written test and interview.
