Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad Invites Applications for Admission into M.Tech Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Technology (M.Tech) in various specializations offered for 2012 – 2013.
Eligibility Conditions
- For M.Tech (Full-time Stipendiary): As per CCMT-2012. Please refer to http://ccmt2012.mnit.ac.in/. Admission to M.Tech. programs will be based on the percentile/score secured by the candidate at the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). (Eligibility requirement for various programs and number of seats are given subsequently.)
- For M.Tech (Part Time): These part-time programs are run under the School of Non-formal and Continuing Education (SNFCE). These programs are of 3 years duration out of which 2 years are scheduled for completion of course work and one year for the thesis/dissertation/projects. These courses are offered to working professionals who are working in and around Allahabad city, up to a maximum limit of 50 KM from Allahabad. Candidates with minimum 2 years of working experience at the time of registration are eligible for admission.
- For M.Tech. (Sponsored) Candidates : The candidates who have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy/Architecture/Planning or equivalent from AICTE approved institutions with at least 60% Marks or equivalent CPI (55% or equivalent for SC/ST candidates) will be eligible for admission. Preference will be given to those candidates who are GATE qualified. Sponsored candidates will not be eligible to receive scholarship, even if they are admitted based on GATE Score.
How to Apply
- For M.Tech. (Full Time, Stipendiary): As decided in NIT Council, M.Tech admission for all National Institute of Technologies will be conducted by centralized admission procedure. The centralized counselling for M. Tech admissions 2012 (CCMT 2012) for candidates possessing GATE score (2011 or 2012), to all the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will be conducted by inviting online application through website http://ccmt2012.mnit.ac.in. Through a single application a candidate can apply for as many institute/program as he/she wishes. A Applicant could check her/his eligibility for various programs on the website. - For M.Tech (Part Time and sponsored): Eligible candidates are required to download the application form from the institute website ww.mnnit.ac.in. Dully filled-in and signed application form along with a demand draft of Rs.1000 (Rs.500 for SC/ST) in favor of Director, MNNIT payable at Allahabad must reach toe The Admission Cell, Office of the Dean (Academic), Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Allahabad – 211004 latest by 25th May, 2012 up to 5.30 PM.
Note: A candidate willing to apply for more than one program in different department has to apply separately with a demand draft of Rs.1000 (`Rs.500 for SC/ST) for each program.
