North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirj Invites Applications for Admission into PG and Research Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following various Post Graduate and Research (Part Time and Full Time) programs for 2012 – 2013.

Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Forestry
Master of Business Administration
Master of Technology in various disciplines.

Eligibility Conditions

ForM.Sc. in Forestry

4 year Bachelor of Science in Forestry/Agriculture/Horticulture with a CGPA 3.25 on a 5.00 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate. 5% marks relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PH Category.

For M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics

B.Sc. with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (Pass Course) in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics and 50% marks as major/honours subject.

For MBA

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate for General Category. 5% marks relaxation will be given to the candidates of SC/ST/PH category.

For M.Tech (Full Time )

B. Tech. or equivalent degree with a CGPA 3.25 on a 5.00 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General Category with valid GATE Score. 5% marks relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PH category Candidates.

For M. Tech. (Part Time)

B. Tech. or equivalent degree with a CGPA 3.25 on a 5.00 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General Category. 5% marks relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PH category. Candidates must submit No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if he/she is working. GATE score is not essential.

For Ph.D. (Full Time & Part Time)

Candidates having Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA 3.25 on 5.00 point scale and 55% marks in aggregate in Science/Humanities for General category. 5% marks relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PH category in both the cases.

Information brochure along with the application form may be obtained from the PG & Ph.D Cell, Academic Section of the Institute on cash payment of Rs.1000 during Office hours either personally or by sending a request along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1050.
