Applications are invited on three A4 size paper (two pages for the application proforma and one page for the identification card) from intending candidates of Indian nationality for admission to 5½ years degree course (BHMS) in Homoeopathy (including one year compulsory rotatory internship) at the national institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata, affiliated to the west Bengal university of Health Sciences for the academic year 2010-11 (form can be downloaded from institute website)
Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and obtained 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for the SC/ST) are eligible to apply
The candidates should attain 17 years of age by 31st December 2010. For the candidates who have appeared for higher secondary (10+2), candidature will be taken into consideration provided that the result of that examination is published before the admission and they have secured the required percentage of marks which has to be substantiated by production of documentary proof. Blind (including colour blind), deaf, and/or dumb candidates are not eligible to apply for the course

From this academic year 93 (Ninety three) seats shall be available for admission to the BHMS course
The dully filled in application should reach to the office of the director, national institute of homoeopathy, block-GE, sector-III, salt lake, Kolkata-700106 on or before the last date of submission of application i.e. 30th April, 2010
Admit card and prospectus will be sent by post and list of candidates with their roll numbers and centres will also be available in the NIH website http://www.nih.nic.in
Date of All-India admission test: 06th June, 2010 (Sunday)
Date of publication of the result of admission test: by 28th June, 2010
Date of counseling (and of admission): 12th and 13th July, 2010
Result of the qualified candidates will be communicated by post and the merit list will also be available in the NIH website http://www.nih.nic.in
The All India entrance examination will be held at seven centres; Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Bhopal
