National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in various disciplines for 2012-13. 

Eligibility Conditions

• The candidates must have a full-time post-graduation degree in the relevant area from NIFT with a minimum of 6.0 CGPA or equivalent; or 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters.
  
  
• Candidates with a full-time post graduation degree from a reputed institute or with a minimum of 7 years of education after higher secondary, the last of which was the Master’s degree with a CGPA of 6.0 or equivalent; or 55% marks in aggregate. 

How to Apply

• The application form can be obtained from the admissions office, NIFT, New Delhi through DD of Rs.250 drawn in favor of ‘NIFT, New Delhi’ payable at Delhi.
  
  
• The application form can also be downloaded from the official website - http://www.nift.ac.in.
  
  
• The completed application form has to be submitted along with an outline of the research proposal in maximum 3000 words.
  
  
• The completed application form which was purchased from the office along with a DD of Rs.2000 for general/OBC candidates and of Rs.1000 for SC/ST candidates drawn in favor of ‘National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi’ payable at Delhi should be sent to

Selection Procedure

• The selection of the candidates will be based on the research proposal and the form, the candidates will be shortlisted and invited for a personal interview. Based on the interview, the final selection will be made.
