Sri Balaji VidyaPeeth University, Puducherry Invites Applications for Admission into MBBS Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into first year Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Puducherry and Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai for 2012-13. 

Eligibility Conditions

• The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the higher secondary examination or equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/Zoology)/Biotechnology as subjects. The candidates should have taken English as a core subject.
  
  
• The minimum required marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates are 40%.
  
  
• The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on  31^st Dec, 2012. 

How to Apply

• The application form can be obtained from the university at the cost of Rs.1000.
  
  
• The application form can also be downloaded from their official website - www.sbvu.ac.in.
  
  
• In case of downloaded application form, the filled in application form along with a demand draft of Rs.1050 drawn in favor of Sri Balaji VidyaPeeth University payable at Chennai should be sent by post to The Secretary (SBVUMCET 2012), Sri Balaji VidyaPeeth University, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute Campus, Puduvai-Cuddalore Main Road, Plllalyarkuppam, Puducherry – 607402 by  18^th Jun, 2012 at the latest.
  
  
• The application form can also be obtained by post, by sending a DD of Rs.1050 along with a requisition letter to The Secretary (SBVUMCET 2012), Sri Balaji VidyaPeeth University, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute Campus, Puduvai-Cuddalore Main Road, Plllalyarkuppam, Puducherry – 607402. 

Selection Procedure

• The selection of the candidates will be based on the Sri Balaji VidyaPeeth University MBBS Common Entrance Test (SBVUMCET) examination conducted by the university.

• Last date for submitting filled in application form: 18^th Jun, 2012 (Monday)
• Date of entrance examination: 23^rd Jun, 2012 (Saturday)
