Jyothi Engineering College (JEC), Thrissur Invites Applications for Admission into M.Tech in Power Electronics Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into two year Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in Power Electronics for 2012-13.
Eligibility Conditions
- The candidates shall be Indian nationals. The candidate shall have completed the prescribed qualification from an institution approved by the AICTE/Association of Indian universities.
- The candidate shall possess a bachelor’s degree in the appropriate branch of engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent for Government seats and 55% or equivalent for management seats and thereto as approved by the Calicut University. For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the Engineering degree course is sufficient.
- Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination may also apply.
- Candidates who have passed AMIE examination and satisfying the following conditions are eligible for admission.
- They must have a valid GATE score.
- A minimum marks of 55% for the section B in AMIE examination.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.
- Non- GATE candidates can also apply.
How to Apply
- Application forms (cost of application form Rs.400) can be had from the college office/ downloaded from the college website/applied online.
- Downloaded applications and printout of online applications are to be submitted with a DD of Rs.400 drawn in favor of Jyothi Engineering College, Cheruthuruthy, payable at ‘Thrissur’. Duly filled application forms along with self attested copies of necessary documents are to be submitted in person or by speed post with A/D to the college office.
Selection Procedure
- The selection of the candidate will be based on their GATE score. Any vacant seat will be filled from Non GATE candidates.
