Panjab University, Chandigarh Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs in various disciplines for 2012-13. 

Eligibility Conditions

• The candidate should have passed the master’s examination in the concerned subject with a score of not less than 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC Category) marks in aggregate.
  
  
• The candidates who are awaiting their final examination Results are also eligible to apply. 

How to Apply

• The application form can be downloaded from their official website - http://phdadmissions.puchd.ac.in
  
  
• The application fee of Rs.1800 for general candidates and Rs.900 for SC/ST candidates should be deposited at any State Bank of India branch.
  
  
• The print out of the completed online application form should be sent to the university by 7^th Jul, 2012 at the latest.

Selection Procedure

• The candidates will be selected based on their performance in the entrance test which will be conducted by the university.

Important Dates

• Last date for submitting duly filled in application form:  7^th Jul, 2012 (Saturday)
• Date of entrance test:  22^nd Jul, 2012 (Sunday)
