National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar Invites Applications for Admission into M.Phil/Ph.D in Engineering Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs in engineering in following various disciplines for 2012-13.
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Metallurgy and Materials Engineering
Eligibility Conditions
- The general candidates should have completed Master’s degree in the relevant field of Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks or an equivalent qualification.
- The SC/ST/OBC candidates should have completed Master’s degree in the relevant field of engineering with a minimum CGPA of 6 or 55% marks or an equivalent qualification.
- The candidates appearing in the final semester are also eligible to apply.
How to Apply
- Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Dean Academic Office, National Institute of Technology Srinagar, Hazratbal, Kashmir on payment of Rs.400 (Rs.200 for SC/ST candidates), to be deposited in Account No. 106/CD in J&K Bank (NIT Srinagar) or through bank draft drawn in favor of ‘Director, National Institute of Technology Srinagar’.
- The application form can also be downloaded from their official website - www.nitsri.net
- The completed application form should be sent to Assistant Registrar (Academic) National Institute of Technology Srinagar along with the necessary demand draft for Rs.400 (in case of SC/ST candidates Rs.200) drawn in favor of ‘Director, National Institute of Technology Srinagar’ by or before 14th Jul, 2012.
Selection Procedure
- The selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the screening, test and the interview/counseling which will be conducted by the institute.
