Patna University Invites Applications for Admission in P.G. Diploma in Bio-Informatics Program

Applications are invited by Patna University (PU), Patna for admission to Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) (Vocational) program in Bio-informatics for the commencing session 2012.
Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to post-graduate diploma (Vocational) program in Bio-informatics must have acquired the graduation degree in Science, Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, and Bio-chemistry from a university as is established by law or an equivalent degree thereto as is recognized by Patna University, with at least 45% marks at the graduation level.
How to Apply
The applicant will be required to apply in the prescribed application form also available on the website www.patnauniversity.ac.in and www.pucc.bih.nic.in.
It has to be submitted to the Officer In charge/Course Coordinator, Patna University Computer Centre, Patna University, Patna 800005 on or before the due date.
The application form and the prospectus can be obtained either from the Computer Centre on submission of a bank draft for Rs. 1000 payable to the “Officer In charge, Patna University Computer Centre” on any working day from 10.00 AM to 3.00 PM as per notification or from the website. No additional fee for entrance test will be charged.
The cost of application form for the course is Rs.1000 (Rs.1050 for postal services along with self addressed envelope of A4 size). Those who are applying by downloading the form from the website they have to submit the duly filled form along with bank draft for Rs.1000 in favor of the “Officer In charge, Patna University Computer Centre”, payable at Patna.
Selection Procedure
Selection of the candidates shall be done on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in the Aptitude Test to be conducted in this behalf by the Patna University Computer Centre at the beginning of each academic session. The test paper shall consist of 100 objective type questions of multiple choice, each question carrying one mark, to be set from areas of basic sciences, computer knowledge, environment and general studies.
