GITAM University, Visakhapatnam Invites Applications for Admission into M.Phil/Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full-time/ part-time Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs in various faculties and disciplines offered at campuses such as Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bangalore for 2012-13.
Eligibility Conditions
Full Time
- Post-graduate degree holders of GITAM University or any recognized university with II class securing at least 55% of marks in the subject concerned or in an allied subject, can apply for full time M. Phil/Ph.D degree, and their admission is based on the merit in the entrance test GURCET followed by personal interview. Preference will be given to candidates with UGC/CSIR NET qualification subject to the fulfillment of the above condition.
Part-Time
- Candidates satisfying the full-time eligibility conditions can apply for part-time M.Phil/Ph.D program.
How to Apply
- Application form and admission criteria can be downloaded from the website www.gitam.edu.
- Candidates have to submit a separate application form for each program (M.Phil/Ph.D)along with a demand draft for Rs.2000(Rupees two thousand only) towards registration fee in favor of GITAM Universitydrawn on any scheduled bank payable at Visakhapatnam. The name of the applicant should be written on the reverse side of the D.D.
- The filled–in application should reach along with all enclosures to the Director, Admissions, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam - 530045 (A.P.).
Selection procedure
- Selection of candidates are based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination/entrance examination and personal interview subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria by the rule of reservation.
