University of Science and Technology (USTM), Meghalaya Invites Applications for Admission into UG and PG Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into UG and PG programs offered in various disciplines at various schools and centres for 2013-14. 

Eligibility Conditions

For B.Sc. Biotechnology Program

• Candidate should be passed in HS (10+2) Science with Biology, 45% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved category).

For Ph.D

• Candidate must have Master's degree in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. 

How to Apply

• Candidate seeking admission to any UG or PG courses at University of Science & Technology (USTM) during the academic session 2013-14 may obtain the prescribed application form along with prospectus from the administrative office of university campus.
  
  
• The cost of the form & prospectus is Rs.500 for UG & PG and Rs.1500 for Ph.D.
  
  
• The application form can also be obtained from designated branch of Axis Bank in North Eastern States by payment of Rs.500 and the remaining amount of Rs.1000 for Ph. D can be deposited at the time of submission of form.
  
  
• Candidate can also download the form and prospectus from university website www.ustm.ac.in/download. Fee of the form may be paid at the time of submission of the form in cash or DD.
  
  
• The application form and prospectus may also be obtained by sending a crossed demand draft (DD) of any nationalized bank with amount of Rs.575 (for Ph.D. Rs.1575) drawn in favaour of “University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya” payable at Guwahati.

Selection procedure

• Admission will be based on the merit (percentage secured in the last qualifying examination) of the candidate. After scrutinizing the forms the registrar will prepare merit list and selected candidates will be informed.
  
  
• For MBA admission, written test (ERDF-CAT) will be conducted by university followed by personal interview and GD.
• The final merit list for admission in MBA will be prepared considering percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, score of ERDF-CAT/MAT/CAT/XMAT and marks obtained in personal interview & GD.

• Last date for submission of application for UG: 20^th Jun, 2013 (Thursday)
• Last date for submission of application for PG: 30^th Jun, 2013 (Sunday)
