Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in various disciplines at various schools for 2013.

Eligibility Conditions

• NET (JRF)/NET (LS) and GATE qualified M.Tech candidates (for Engineering & Technology) shall be eligible for direct admission besides other categories of candidates without appearing in VRET.
  
  
• Candidates belonging to NET (LS)/GATE qualified M.Tech (For Engineering & Technology) wish to be considered for GGV research fellowship, they will have to appear in VRET and be admitted as VRET candidates.

How to Apply

• A candidate desirous of appearing in VRET or VRET (Exempted category) shall pay the processing/test fee of Rs.600 in case of general/OBC/PC category and Rs.250 in case of SC/ST category along with the application form through a crossed demand draft (DD) issued by any nationalized/scheduled bank or SBI challan in favor of the “Registrar, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya”, payable at Bilaspur.
  
  
• Candidate submitting the application online can deposit fee through State Bank of India (SBI) challan generated after online registration. The challan can be print and after depositing the fee on any SBI branch, applicant can log in by ID & date of birth (password) for online filling the form.

Selection Procedure

• The selection procedure to the Ph.D program is done through the Vishwavidyalaya Research Entrance Test (VRET) to be conducted at Bilaspur (university campus) on 15^th Feb, 2013.

Important Dates

• Closing of online or offline application process: 28^th Jan, 2013 (Monday)
• Last date of receipt of application from online or offline: 8^th Feb, 2013 (Friday)
• Date of VRET entrance test: 15^th Feb, 2013 (Friday)
