Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Rangpo Invites Applications for Admission into B.Tech Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program offered in various specializations for 2013. 

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates must have passed (10+2) or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Computer Sciences or Biotechnology or Biology as one of the optional subjects. They must have secured a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC) marks in aggregate in the subjects to be considered for selection.
  
  
• Diploma in the appropriate branch of engineering awarded by a State Board of Technical Education and with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate in diploma is also eligible for admission to the first year of B.Tech course. 

How to Apply

• Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website.
• The prospectus is available from select branches SBI Bank and HDFC Banks till 31^st Jul, 2013.
• The prospectus can be purchased from Sikkim Manipal University, Admissions office by writing to the following address by enclosing a request along with a demand draft for Rs.600 drawn in the name of Sikkim Manipal University payable at Gangtok. 

Selection Procedure

• The selections of candidates are done based on AIEEE, MU-OET, SMIT offline test, GTA entrance examinations.

Last date of submission of application forms:

• For AIEEE applicants: 15^th Jun, 2013 (Saturday)
• For MU-OET applicants: 11^th Mar, 2013 (Monday)
• For SMIT offline applicants: 15^th Jun, 2013 (Saturday)
• For B.Tech lateral entry: 10^th Jul, 2013 (Wednesday)
