University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D in Law Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Law offered in the Department of Law for 2013. 

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates holding master's degree in law are eligible to apply. 

How to Apply

• Candidates should apply in a prescribed form, which can be downloaded from C.U.’s official website www.caluniv.ac.in along with an application fees of Rs.100 (in cash) through a challan obtained from the cash counter, Hazra Campus.
  
  
• In the cash challan, candidates should indicate ‘Application fee for Ph.D. Program in Law’ and should attach an attested copy of age proof certificate, attested copy of SC/ST/PH certificate where applicable, attested copy of LL.M mark sheet.
  
  
• Also, attested copy of qualifying certificate in JRF/NET and three copies of passport size photograph should be attached along with the application form.
  
  
• The filled-up forms along with the requisite fee by C.U. challan are to be submitted between 12.30 to 3.00 p.m. on all working days at the office of the Department of Law ( 1st floor) Hazra Campus, C.U.
  

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be made on the basis of written examination followed by viva-voce.
• Entrance test will comprise of B.A LL.B and LL.M syllabus of the University of Calcutta. 

Note: Those candidates who have already passed JRF/NET need not appear at the written examination.

• Last date for submission of application form: 8^th Mar, 2013 (Friday)
• Date of written examination: 9^th Mar, 2013 (Saturday)
