Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following two year programme for 2013.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Bengali
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Sanskrit
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Hindi
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in History
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Economics
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Philosophy
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Library & Information Science
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Political Science
- Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Commerce
Eligibility Conditions
- Any candidate with Master’s Degree in English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Hindi, History, Economics, Philosophy, Library & Information Science, Political Science and Commerce subjects may apply for admission.
How to Apply
- Candidates can download the application form from the official website and applicants are advised to submit a demand draft of Rs.450 drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan” payable at SBI, Burdwan.
- Applications in prescribed forms, obtainable at the University Sales Counter, Rajbati,Burdwan (and not by post) on payment of Rs.450 in cash and on production of original or attested copy of mark sheets at masters level, between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on all working days (except Saturdays, Sundays & university holidays).
