Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full-time (residential) and part-time (non-residential) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in various disciplines or specialization for 2013.

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates holding master's degree or equivalent in any of the disciplines with at least 55% marks in the aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST applicants) are eligible to apply.
  
  
• Candidates pass in UGC-NET or JRF or SLET or M.Phil is desirable to apply.
  
  
• Age limit for ICSSR fellowships-below 35 years, 40 years in case of teachers and members of professional staff in research Institutes.
  
  
• There is no age limit for ISEC fellowship, part-time PhD program. 

How to Apply

• The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the ISEC official website.
  
  
• The duly filled-in application form with all the relevant enclosures should be submitted along with the application fee of Rs.500 (Rs.150 in case of SC/STs) in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, ISEC, Bangalore. 

Selection Procedure

• Preliminary screening of applications is done based on the quality of their research proposal submitted with the application.
  
  
• The short listed candidates will be called for a written test.
  
  
• Candidates qualifying in the written test will be required to appear for an interview at Centre level on 12^th Jul, 2013.

• Last date for submission of application form: 15^th May, 2013 (Wednesday)
• Date of written test: 11^th Jul, 2013 (Thursday)
