Applications are invited from eligible candidate for admission into following two year, four years & integrated five year programs for 2013-14.

• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biotechnology
• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Bioinformatics
• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biomedical Engineering
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Biotechnology
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Bioinformatics
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Pharmacoinformatics

Eligibility Conditions

For B.Tech Program

• The candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission. Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board, securing minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (PCMB) and English as a subject is compulsory.
  
  
• Candidates with Mathematics will be considered eligible for B.Tech Bioinformatics/B.Tech Biomedical Engineering courses. The scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and OBC students shall have relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.

For M.Tech Program

• A graduate student having completed any of the following with minimum 50% marks in B.E/B.Tech Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Chemical Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Bioprocess Technology/B.Pharm/M.B.B.S/B.D.S or M.Sc and equivalent are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

For B.Tech & Integrated M.Tech Program

• The All India Entrance Test-B.Tech 2013 (referred to as AIET-B.Tech 2013) is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to B.Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biomedical Engineering) and M.Tech Integrated in Biotechnology at the department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics.

For M.Tech Program

• The All India Entrance Test-M.Tech 2013 (referred to as AIET-M.Tech 2013) is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to M.Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Pharmacoinformatics) and M.Sc (Genetic Engineering/Biotechnology/Environmental Biotechnology/Food Science and Technology) programs conducted at department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics. 

Last date for receipt of completed application form:

• 9^th May, 2013 (Thursday) for appearing 13^th May, 2013 (Monday) entrance test.
• 14^th May, 2013 (Tuesday) for appearing 18^th May, 2013 (Saturday) entrance test.
• 24^th May, 2013 (Friday) for appearing 28^th May, 2013 (Tuesday) entrance test.

Last date for submission of completed application form with late fee of Rs.500/- online:

• 11^th May, 2013 (Saturday) for appearing 13^th May, 2013 (Monday) entrance test.
• 16^th May, 2013 (Thursday) for appearing 18^th May, 2013 (Saturday) entrance test.
