North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong Invites Applications for Admission into B.Tech/M.Tech Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programmes for 2013.

• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Information Technology
• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics Communication Engineering
• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Energy Engineering
• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biomedical Engineering
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Information Technology
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Electronics Communication Engineering
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Nanotechnology 

Eligibility Conditions

For B.Tech Program

• The minimum eligibility criteria for admission into B.Tech program shall be such as prescribed by AICTE from time to time. Candidates must have valid positive JEE (Main) score.

For M.Tech in Information Technology Program

• A candidates who have passed B.E/B.Tech in IT/CSE/ECE/EE or MCA or M.Sc in Computer Science/Electronics having secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates).

For M.Tech in Electronic Communication Engineering Program

• A candidate who has passed B.E/B.Tech in ECE/EE or M.Sc in Electronics having secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates).

For M.Tech in Nanotechnology Program

• A candidate who have passed B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Biomedical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Electronics & Communication, Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering having 60% or 6.5 credit in 10 point scale and M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Material Science, Biotechnology with 60% credit in 10 points scale.

How to Apply

• The prospectus with prescribed application forms with can be obtained in person from the Receptionist, Administrative Building, Permanent Campus, Shillong-793022

  Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, NEHU, Tura Campus, Tura-794002
  
  during office hours on payment of Rs.600 (for general category) and Rs.300 (for SC/ST category) through university challan/banker’s cheque/bank draft in favour of “North Eastern Hill University“, request for prospectus (containing the admission form) by post should be addressed to the

  accompanied by a self addressed envelope of 30x25 cm size affixing Rs.40 postage stamp thereon and enclosing DD of Rs.600 (for general category) and Rs.300/- (for SC/ST category).
