Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for 2013.

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in the frontier areas of Aerospace Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mechanical Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Electronics Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computer Science & Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Applied Physics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Applied Mathematics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Materials Engineering 

Eligibility Conditions

• 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.E./M. Tech. for Ph.D. in Engineering or Master of Science with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA for Ph.D. in Science.
  
  
• GATE Score / UGC-CSIR NET certificate. Candidates who are in the final semester of their PG degree are eligible to apply; Mark sheet up to the last semester should be produced during interview. Provisional passing certificate and mark sheet of the final semester are required to be submitted before commencement of program

• Application fee of Rs.200 (Rs.100 for SC/ST candidates) per program is required to be paid by DD drawn in favour of Vice Chancellor, DIAT, Pune, payable at Pune.
  
  
• The application has to be uploaded as per the instructions provided in the website, www.diatonline.co.in.
  
  
• A print out of the application acknowledgement generated by the system after upload of application has to be forwarded to the:

  along with the DD drawn and with the self certified copies of mark lists, certificates and other testimonials.

Selection Procedure

• Admission to Ph.D will be based on the performance in the entrance exam (written test) conducted by the department concerned followed by personal interview.

• Last date of submission of application form: 5^th May, 2013 (Sunday)
• Date of written examination/tentative date of interview: 1st or 2nd week of June, 2013.
