Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar Invites Applications for Admission into Joint M.Tech-Ph.D Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme at various schools for 2013-14.

• Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech)-Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Applied Geosciences
• Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech)-Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Civil Engineering
• Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech)-Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Climate Science & Technology
• Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech)-Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech)-Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Materials Science & Engineering
• Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech)-Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mechanical Engineering 

Eligibility Conditions

• The students having CGPA 8.0 and above at the end of 3rd semester of the M.Tech program are eligible to opt for Ph. D. Otherwise a candidate can continue with his M.Tech program if he is not qualified for Ph.D program.
  
  
• Those students selected for Ph.D. program will have to complete the two year academic requirements of M.Tech program before enrolment for Ph.D and they will be awarded both M.Tech and Ph.D degrees together upon completion of Ph.D program successfully.

• Candidates must send the print out of completed application, sign and send to:

  Odisha along with the requisite fees and copy of the enclosures attested by a Gazetted Officer or equivalent. Please superscribe "Joint M.Tech-Ph.D Application" on the top of the envelop. 

Selection Procedure

• Selection of candidate is based on performance in GATE and personal interview/written test or both. The weightage for GATE score and written test/interview will be 70% and 30% respectively.
• Personal interviews will be conducted at IIT Bhubaneswar. 

Note

• A candidate who fails to appear for the personal interview/written test will not be considered for admission.
