Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full-time Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program offered in various disciplines for 2013.
Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates passed M.Sc/M. Phil degree/PG degree in any branch of Life Sciences from recognized University with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade are eligible to apply.
Or
Candidates having MBBS or DM/M.Ch/MD/DNB or equivalent degree from recognized University with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade can apply for this program.
Or
Candidate qualified in any of the three National Entrance Tests (NET) for Ph.D - JRF under DBT/DST/ICMR/UGC can apply.
How to Apply
- Candidates are required to submit one form only.
- Candidates can submit the application through on-line process only.
- Online application user interface provided in the annexure.
The mode of payment
- State Bank of India I-Collect
- Demand draft drawn in the favors of the accounts officer, JIPMER, Pondicherry.
- Candidate opting for demand draft payment should send hard copy of the application, along with demand draft, to the registrar (academic), JIPMER on or before last date.
- Fees paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Selection Procedure
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute.

- Date for entrance test: 28th Jul, 2013 (Sunday)
