University of Horticultural Sciences (UHSB), Bagalkot Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D in Horticulture Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Horticulture offered at three campuses viz. Bagalkot, Arabhavi and Bengaluru for 2013-14. 

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates holding master’s degree in M.Sc. (Hort.)/M.Sc (Agri.) in Horticulture or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Agriculture/Horticulture Universities/Deemed Universities/ Institutions recognized by ICAR with a cumulative grade point average of 2.75/4.00 or overall grade point average of 7.00/10.00 or its equivalent are eligible to apply. 

How to Apply

• The filled-in application forms should be complete in all respects including submission of copies of the transcripts/marks card/all other certificates applicable etc., as on the last date of submission i.e. 22^nd Jul, 2013 along with demand draft of 17 Rs.600 (Rs.300 in case of SC/ST/ cat-I candidates of Karnataka state only) drawn in favour of the Comptroller UHS, Bagalkot, payable at Bagalkot purchased between 1^st Jul, 2013 to 22^nd Jul, 2013. 

Selection Procedure

• The candidates seeking admission including the deputed candidates from recognized state/central government and autonomous institutions for Ph.D degree programs shall appear for a written test conducted for Ph.D degree program in Horticulture.
  
  
• Those candidates who do not score minimum qualifying marks are not considered for preparation of merit list.

• Last date for receipt of filled in application form: 22^nd Jul, 2013 (Monday)
• Date of written or entrance test: 28^th Jul, 2013 (Sunday)
