Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra Invites Applications for Admission into M.Tech Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full-time and part time programme for 2013-14.

• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Manufacturing & Automation
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Part-time

• M.Tech in Energy Management 

Eligibility Conditions

For Full-Time M.Tech in Manufacturing & Automation Program

• Graduates with 60% marks in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering from a recognized university/institution (with valid GATE score) are eligible to apply.

For Part-Time M.Tech in Energy Management Program

• The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a master’s degree in Sciences/Applied Sciences and/or any appropriate discipline related to energy and environment with the CGPA of 6.75 on 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks in aggregate wherever marks are awarded. The candidate with valid GATE score will be given preference. 

How to Apply

• The application forms for the above courses can be downloaded from the website: http://smvdu.net.in/ and can be submitted along with a DD of Rs.1100 for S.No.1 to 9 and Rs.600 for S.No.10 to 13 (Rs.100 towards postage & handling charges) drawn in favour of Registrar, SMVDU, payable at Jammu/Katra being the cost of the prospectus & application form in which case the prospectus shall be sent separately by post to the candidate concerned. 

Selection Procedure

• The selection of candidates for M.Tech program is done on the basis of valid gate score plus interview marks.
