Delhi University 10th list out: Seats to grab in economics, commerce

31-Jul-2013

Admission to courses, including popular ones such as commerce and economics, are opening and closing repeatedly though the academic session has already started. Earlier, colleges faced this situation only with the reserved categories. The university issued its 10th cut off list for all categories

Sri Venkateswara has reopened admissions for economics and College of Vocational Studies for commerce. In North Campus, Hansraj has reopened admissions for zoology, Daulat Ram for botany and Hindu for mathematics and statistics. SGND Khalsa has reopened admissions in both commerce and economics; and general category seats are still available in history, philosophy and political science in Gargi. The cut offs for Gargi don't feature on the list released by DU. At Ramjas, admissions are open for history, chemistry, botany and zoology.

College authorities say reopening of admissions in science subjects is most likely related to ongoing engineering counselling. Commerce may be losing students to engineering.
