National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai Invites Applications for Admission into M.D in Siddha Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into 3 years Doctor of Medicine (M.D) program in Siddha offered at Maruthuvam, Gunapadam, Sirappu Maruthuvam, Kuzhandai Maruthuvam, Noi Naadal and Nanju Noolum Maruthuva Neethi Noolum for 2013. 

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates passed in B.I.M/B.S.M.S degree examination of any Indian university with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (C.R.R.I). Candidates who have completed or will be completing CRRI before the date of entrance examination alone are eligible to apply.
  
  
• The candidates should have registered their names in either any State Council of Indian Medicine or Central Council of Indian Medicine can also apply. 

How to Apply

• Application form along with the prospectus can be downloaded from the website www.nischennai.org. Demand Draft, from any of the nationalized banks, for Rs.1250 in favor of Director, National Institute of Siddha payable at Chennai, drawn on or after 13^th Aug, 2013 should be enclosed.
  
  
• For SC/ST candidates the cost of application is Rs.900 subject to production of a duly attested xerox copy of SC/ST certificate, issued by the competent authority. 

Selection Procedure

• Selection to this program will be made on merit, based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination conducted by the National Institute of Siddha.

• Last date for submission of application form: 4^th Oct, 2013 (Wednesday)
• Date of entrance exam: 19^th Oct, 2013 (Saturday)
