University of Kashmir (UOK), Srinagar Invites Applications for Admission into M.Phil/Ph.D Program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program offered at Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies for the subjects (M.Com & MFC separately) in the Department of Business & Financial Studies for 2013.

Eligibility Conditions

For M.Phil Program

• Master degree in the concerned/allied subject with 55% marks.

For Ph.D Program

• Candidatesmust have qualified the M.Phil degree with at least “B grade”.

How to Apply

• The application forms can be obtained from the sale counter of the university near Moulana Rumi Gate on cash payment of Rs.25. The application form along with entrance test fee receipt of Rs.175 should reach to the office of the undersigned on or before 17^th Oct, 2013.

Selection Procedure

For M.Phil Program

• The candidates shall be required to appear in the Entrance Test seeking admission for M. Phil program.
  
  
• The NET / SET /JRF qualified candidates are exempted from appearing in the entrance test & merit of such candidates shall be as per their percentage of marks obtained at the master’s level.

For Ph.D Program

• Candidates having qualifying JRF from national examining body.
  
  
• Secretaries/directors or the officers of the equivalent cadre/colleges/school teachers with at least 15 years experience on substantive basis.
  
  
• Candidates having secured at least 65 % of marks at the master’s level in the subject concerned/allied subjects.
