University of Hyderabad (UoH), Hyderabad Invites Applications for Admission into M.Phil Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidaates for admission into Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) programs in various disciplines and Integrated M.Phil-Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Cognitive Science for 2014-15.

Eligibility Conditions

For M.Phil in English

• Candidates should hold master's degree in English or in an allied subject like Comparative Literature and Translation Studies or Cultural Studies with at least 55% marks.

For M.Phil in Sociology

• Candidates should hold master’s degree in Sociology or other Social Sciences including Cultural Studies with at least 55% marks.

How to Apply

• Candidates need to apply online.
  
  
• The application fee is Rs.350 in the case of General and OBC candidates and Rs.150 in the case of SC/ST/PWD (PH) candidates.
  
  
• Candidates can pay the amount through bank challan and online (net-banking).

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be based on entrance examination conducted by the university.

• Start date for downloading of prospectus and submitting of online application form: 4^th Dec, 2013 (Wednesday)
• Last date for submitting online applications: 3^rd Jan, 2014 (Friday)
• Downloading of hall tickets from: 20^th Jan, 2014 (Monday)
• Date of entrance examination: 3^rd Feb, 2014 (Monday) to 7^th Feb, 2014 (Friday)
