Assam University, Silchar Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for 2014.

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Visual Arts
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Business Administration
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Earth Science
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Law
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in French
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates securing 55% marks or above or equivalent grade in master degree examination of a recognized university are only eligible to apply.
  
  
• Relaxation of marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories shall be as per government of India rules.

 How to Apply

• The admission form may be downloaded from University website http://www.aus.ac.in and submitted along with an application fee of Rs.700 (for General and OBC students) and Rs.500 (for SC/ST/PWD students) through demand draft drawn in favor of Finance Officer, Assam University Silchar payable at Silchar.
  
  
• All filled in application form should be submitted to the concerned Head of the Dept. of Assam University, Dorgakona, Silchar.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance test and personal interview conducted by the university.

• Last date for submission of application form: 31^st Dec, 2013 (Tuesday)
• Date of written test date: 6^th Jan, 2014 (Monday)
• Date of personal interview: 7^th Jan, 2014 (Tuesday)
• Publication of list of selected candidates: 8^th Jan, 2014 (Wednesday)
