National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Calicut Invites Applications for Admission into PG Diploma Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for 2014-16.

• Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in VLSI & Embedded Hardware Design
• Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Embedded System Design
• Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Information Security
• Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Cloud Computing

Eligibility Conditions

PGD in VLSI & Embedded Hardware Design

• M.E/M.Tech/BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electrical/ Instrumentation/Computer Science/IT or M.Sc (Electronics/CS).

PGD in Embedded System Design

• M.E./M.Tech or B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/Instrumentation/ Biomedical /Computer Science/Information technology or M.Sc in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Computer Science/Information technology.

How to Apply

• Procedure for online application: Students can apply online by filling up the online application form. The students are first required to obtain the DD for Rs.1000, towards advance deposit.
  
  
• Procedure for applying offline using the print copy of application form: The students can download and print the application form from the web site.

Selection Procedure

For PGD in VLSI & Embedded Hardware Design

• Candidates will be selected based on their marks in their qualifying examination subject to eligibility and availability of seats.
• Selection of candidates who have completed the course but expecting the results shall be based on the availability of seats.

For PGD in Information Security and Cloud Computing

• Selection of candidates who have passed in the qualifying examination will be based on their marks in the qualifying examination subject to eligibility and availability of seats.

PGD in VLSI & Embedded Hardware Design:

• Last date for receiving completed application forms: 30^th Jan, 2014 (Thursday)
• Publication of first selection list in the website http://www.calicut.nielit.in/: 31^st Jan, 2014 (Friday)
• Date of counseling: 24^th Feb, 2014 (Monday)
• Date of commencement of class: 25^th Feb, 2014 (Tuesday)

PGD in Embedded System Design:

• Last date for receiving completed application forms: 30^th Jan, 2014 (Thursday)
• Dates of online admission test: 20^th Jan, 2014 (Monday), 21^st Jan, 2014 (Tuesday) and 23^rd Jan, 2014 (Thursday)
• Selection list in website: 24^th Jan, 2014 (Friday)

PGD in Information Security and Cloud Computing

• Last date of receipt of application form is: 26^th Feb, 2014.
