Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi Invites Applications for Admission into M.Phil/Ph.D Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Philosophy (M.Phil)/ Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in following various schools for 2014.

• School of International Studies
• School of Language, Literature, Cultural Studies
• School of Social Sciences
• School of Life Sciences
• School of Environmental Studies
• School of Computer and System Sciences
• School of Arts & Aesthetics
• School of  Sanskrit Studies, Centre of Law and Governance

Eligibility Conditions

For M.Phil/Ph.D in Social Studies

• Candidates should hold masters degree in the subject concerned with at least 50% marks or master’ degree in allied subjects or humanities with at least 55% marks; or masters degree in natural sciences with at least 60% marks

For M.Phil/Ph.D in Computer and Systems Sciences

• Candidates should hold master's degree in computer science or mathematics or statistics or operational research or in any branch of science or bachelor's degree in any branch of Engineering or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) with at least 55% marks

How to Apply

For online application

• The candidates can apply online by   logging into    their official website at www.jnu.ac.in

For offline application

• A set of application form and prospectus can be obtained through post by sending crossed bank draft for Rs.300 drawn in favor of Jawaharlal Nehru University and payable at New Delhi along with a self addressed (unstamped) envelope and indicating the program of study for which the application form is required on the self-addressed envelope to the Section Officer.

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be made on the basis of written test conducted by the institute.
