National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Invites Applications for Admission into PhD programmes 2014

NISER, Bhubaneswar, under Department of Atomic Energy, GOI, invited applications for admission to its Ph. D programme for 2014-2015 odd semester in various departments given below.

School of Biological Sciences

Minimum Qualification:
60% in Masters in any branch of Biology, life sciences and Bioinformatics.

School of Chemical Sciences

Minimum Qualification:
60% in M.Sc or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Physics, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science  or any one of the subject.

School of Physical Sciences

Minimum Qualification: 
60% in M. Sc in Physics and allied Fields or equivalent degree in BE/B.TECH/M.TECH

School of Mathematical Sciences

Minimum Qualification:
60% in M.Sc  or in an equivalent degree in Mathematics

Upper Age Limit: 
The candidate must not be more than 28 years on 01 June 2014.

Selection Process:
 The applications of Candidates will be short-listed to call selected applicants for the Interview round. Besides, the written test may be taken if required, for determining eligibility for admissions.

How to Apply: Aspiring candidates can get the application form from page 3 to 4 of Official Notification

However application can also be obtained by post, please enclose a self-addressed envelope (A4 size, 21 cm X 30 cm) affixed with postage stamp requesting post of Rs. 40/- (Rupees forty only). The forms will be sent by speed post. 

Note:Candidates intending to apply for more than one school should use separate application form for each school with appropriate enclosures. Send the duly filled Application along with self-attested copies of all supporting documents (mark sheets, certificates, age proof, caste certificate, etc.), and  photographs to the address given below. Also, enclose two sealed letters of reference with signature of the referee on the envelope.

Note: NISER does not demand any entrance fee from the candidates who apply for Ph.D program.
