IIT Ropar Invites Applications for Admission into PhD Programmes 2014

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into its PhD Programme in following stream for the academic year 2014.

• PhD in the streams of Computer Science and Engineering
• PhD in the streams of Electrical Engineering and Mechanicals
• PhD in the streams of Materials and Energy Engineering.

Eligibility Conditions

For Computer Science and Engineering

• The candidate should have a M.Tech./ ME/ MS or equivalent qualification in computer science and engineering or equivalent degree with 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) (55% marks for SC/ST).

For Electrical Engineering

• The candidate should have a First class (or 6.5 grade points out of 10) or 60% marks in M.Tech. / ME/ MS in electrical engineering or equivalent degree.

For School of Mechanical, Materials and Energy Engineering

• The candidate should have a Masters degree in Engineering/ Technology or a Master's degree by Research in Engineering/ Technology. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks (or 6.5 Grade Point out of 10) in their Master's.
