CIPET notification for admission to B.Tech/M.Tech/ Diploma and PG Diploma programs released

Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET)  Chennai, invited applications for admissions to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Diploma & PG Diploma programmes, commencing in 2014.

Programmes Offered are:

1. Diploma in Plastics Technology
2. Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology
3. Post Diploma in Plastic Mould Design with CAD/CAM
4. Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing
5. M.E / M.Tech in Plastics Engineering / Technology
6. M.Tech in Polymer Nano Technology
7. M.E in CAD/CAM
8. M.Sc. Tech (Material Science & Engineering)
9. B.E / B.Tech in Plastics Engineering / Technology
10. B.E / B.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering / Technology

Eligibility Conditions

For Diploma:
Candidates should have passed Class 10 or school secondary level examination with English and Science and Maths as compulsory papers from any recognized board of examination.

For B.Tech:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Maths from any of the recognised board of examination.

For PG Diploma:
Candidates must have three year Degree in Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects for Plastics Processing & Testing discipline or 3 year Diploma in Mechanical, Plastics Technology, Tool/Production Engineering, Mechatronics, Automobile Engineering, Tool & Die Making, DPMT/DPT (CIPET) or equivalent for Plastics Mould Design with CAD/CAM.

For M.Tech:
B.E./B.Tech. (4 years) in Mechanical, Plastics Engineering / Technology / Polymer / Chemical (or) M.Sc., in Polymer Chemistry / Polymer Science / Physics / Chemistry.

Selection Procedure:

• CIPET programs- based on academic record and performance in the Joint Entrance Examination.
• For PG programs- selection through respective affiliating University norms / through CIPET JEE.
• For UG programs- selection through respective affiliating University as per their norms.

How to apply:

Application form and prospectus can be downloaded from the official website of Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology or obtained from any of CIPET Centres against payment of Rs. 100 for general candidates and Rs. 25 for SC/ST candidates in cash or demand draft, drawn in favour of "CIPET" payable at Chennai.

List of documents to be submitted/ attached along with filled-in online Application Form

1. Attested photocopy of Date of Birth Certificate.
2. Attested photocopies of entry qualification (X / XII standard / Diploma / Degree Certificates)
3. Valid GATE score certificate (if available for M.Tech. program).
4. Attested Community Certificates (for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) candidates).
5. Residential proof for North Eastern state candidates (if applicable)
